A native variety, which was unknown until recently, originating from Siatista, Kozani. The founder of the winery, Konstantinos Diamantis, is responsible for the revival of this variety which
was about to extinct. Magoutes Moschomavro, one of the few single-varieta wines available, is produced from rare terroirs at an altitude of 745–890 meters and clay lime stone soils. With low vineyard yields and a production of just 10,000 bottles, it offers a unique opportunity to discover this elegant variety.
Fermentation in raw concrete tanks with native yeast and 6 months aging. Harvest time is late September for this variety with yields of approximately 1.5 kg per vine.
Food matching: Lean meats like duck breast, pizza and light cheeses.
