Mitravelas Estate

Mitravelas Estate was founded in 1913 and is the oldest winery in Nemea. In the early days the Mitravelas Brothers produced small quantities of bulk wine. In 1945 Andrew Mitravelas took the lead and gradually increased the annual production until 2003 when his son Konstantinos joined forces. Taking advantage of his father’s and his own long-term viticultural experience in combination with updated oenological techniques and new equipment, they created two labels: “Mitravelas Estate” and “Red on Black”. Konstantinos owns and cultivates 75.000 sqm. in which he minimizes the yield in order to maximize the quality. In addition to these, the Estate has signed long-term agreements for the exclusive cultivation and yielding of 300.000 sqm more.
