Magoutes Siatista

Magoutes Vineyard sits in the wind swept, mountainous land of Siatista at northwestern hinterland of Macedonia.
A fragile place of stark beauty and cool climate, which unlike most of Greece, is located on a rocky limestone terroir, unknown to the uninitiated, by virtue of its high inland isolation. For centuries, the rocky isolated land of Magoutes have been used to cultivate some of the finest grapes, producing high-quality wines that have gained worldwide recognition. With the same consistency, zero intervention and rigor, the families of Dimitrios Diamantis and George Papageorgiou recognizing the finesse, purity and complexity of the wines produced by this fragile land, assume the debt that falls onto them, and they are in a constant struggle with time to preserve Magoutes Vineyards’ legacy untouched for the next generations to come. The vineyards are based in the region of Siatista ranging in altitude of 850m to 1000m above sea level.
